Prevent Accidental Cmd+Q on Mac
Cmd+Q is great—until it costs you work. If you switch keyboard layouts (AZERTY/QWERTY), use lots of shortcuts, or just have fast fingers, it’s easy to quit the wrong app by mistake.
What Q-Blocker does
- Intercepts Cmd+Q system-wide (with Accessibility permission).
- Shows a clear countdown HUD so you know quitting is happening.
- Requires holding Cmd+Q for a configurable duration (default 5s).
- Release early to cancel instantly.
